Waka Flocka Flame to Produce Amanda Bynes Album

Flockaveli says actress is "ready for the rap world."

Welcome to summer 2013. Waka Flocka Flame just announced to TMZ that he is going to produce Amanda Bynes' debut album.

Bynes, a former Nickelodeon star, has had a simultaneously humorous and contentious relationship with traditional and social media as of late, compounded by her announcement that music is the "next chapter" in her career (to her credit, she can already claim a Critics' Choice Award for her part in the "Best Ensemble" cast of the musical movie Hairspray).

Waka is one person who has offered her public support via motivational tweets.

The trouble is, however, Bynes also has already created a bit of a stir among (at least the fans of) some of music's biggest stars, when, for instance she hurled an "ugly" at Rihanna, Drake and Jay-Z (separate occasions, and probably the least offensive of her attempted insults).

Still, Flame says he has a winner. "It's going to be crazy hot," he said of her forthcoming album, titled Shots.

As to the rumors that she may be abusing drugs or suffering from a mental illness, the Atlanta repper said, "She has it all together to me. She is cool as hell and ready for the rap world. I think she is going to kill the game." He said that they text each other daily and FaceTime at least once a week, explaining that their conversations are mostly about "keeping her head up from the haters," and about her "rap career" (the latter quote being TMZ's words).

Though no agreement has been signed so far, the plan is to release the album via his Brick Squad Monopoly record label and to include himself as a feature on several songs. A date for the release has yet to be set.
