BET Awards 2023: 5 All-Time Classic Brandy Songs

The "Vocal Bible" shocked viewers with a surprise performance at last year’s celebration.

The industry veteran gave a  surprise performance during the 2022 BET Awards alongside rising rapper Jack Harlow for a unique rendition of his single, “First Class.”

  • Almost Doesn’t Count

    This r&b and pop ballad, “Almost Doesn’t Count,” was featured on Brandy’s second studio album, Never Say Never. It earned the singer her third Grammy nomination for “Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.”

  • Have You Ever?

    Looking to evolve a more mature sound, Brandy collaborated with a new team of legendary songwriter Diane Warren and producer David Foster for her 1998 ballad “Have You Ever.” Not only had Brandy’s music matured, but so did her vocal abilities.

  • Baby

    Brandy kicked off the release of her debut self-titled album, Brandy, with several tracks, including an upbeat number titled “Baby.” The single peaked at no. 4 on Billboard Hot 100.
