Rihanna Spotted Shooting Video With Young Thug And The Internet Has Theories
Could Rihanna be getting ready to drop some new music? That is what her loyal fanbase, the Navy, is wondering after the Barbadian multi-hyphenate was spotted at a video shoot with Young Thug this past weekend.
Rihanna’s fans have been waiting for her long-awaited follow-up to 2016’s Anti, and it looks like their wait might soon be over after photos of the shoot surfaced on social media on Monday (September 14). Rihanna can be seen on set with Thugger while wearing a white button-down shirt and black leather biker shorts.
As of right now, it’s unclear whether the shoot was for a music video or one of her Fenty brands.
Rihanna has been busy expanding her Fenty empire over the past few months, launching a gender-neutral skincare line back in April. In the midst of the Navy’s music drought, Rihanna came through with a guest feature on OVO signee PARTYNEXTDOOR’s single, “Believe It” from his Partymobile album.
Hence, fans are hopeful this new video shoot is a sign that more music is on the way. Speculation was further fueled after social media noticed that Thugger’s record label imprint, YSL Records, recently shared a throwback photo of the two in the studio from years back.

In July, Rihanna confirmed she still plans to release an album though she hasn’t decided on the appropriate time.
“I am always working on music,” Rihanna told Entertainment Tonight. “I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it's gonna come out. And you're not going to be disappointed when it happens. I'm not just gonna put it out just because people are waiting. It's taken this long, I'm gonna make it worth it."
Though, according to one Twitter fan account, the “secret shoot” is reportedly for the latest iteration of her Savage x Fenty show that is rumored to air on Amazon Prime in October. Keep in mind, Rihanna delivered a show-stopping dance number during the 2019 show. So, they’re prayers for some new music until her ninth studio album drops might still be answered.
Whatever the case may be, fans will just have to wait and see.
