However, his latest alleged act of defiance may not be something that Thugger enthusiasts are rooting for, and the police would like to have a word with him about it as well.
According to TMZ, Atlanta police are pursuing the JEFFERY rap star for an incident outside of Palace nightclub where reports allege that he slapped a former work associate of his, Valerie Raven, aka Akbar V, in the face.
The verbal dispute, TMZ reports, had reportedly turned physical after the 27-year-old woman had been arguing with Thugger’s girlfriend, Jerrika Karlae, in front of the venue. As he approached her amid the dispute, according to Akbar V, Thugger slapped her on the right side of her face where several onlookers had witnessed the assault. When cops responded to the scene, Thugger and Karlae had allegedly already pulled off.
Law enforcement officials are now seeking out the Atlanta rapper to get his side of the story, TMZ adds. While video footage of the incident has surfaced, police have not been able to make out evidence that Thugger slapped her during the altercation. Akbar V, however, released a video via Instagram further explaining the incident, emotionally recalling she and Thugger’s previous business relationship.
“For you to jump all the way out of the Palace to jump in h** sh**, that just shows me what type of n**ga you is,” she said in the video. Expressing her disappointment for how he chose to handle things despite the end of their professional relationship, she added that her recollection of the incident showed her his true colors.
“At the end of the day, I was that same b**ch that was on stage throwing up that same sh** you was throwing up years ago. You see what I’m saying?”
Akbar V is still moving forward with her claims and has reportedly filed a police report for battery.
