Master P Wants To Start His Own Football League With Colin Kaepernick

"We have to start owning things."

Master P has been heavily involved in the Global Mixed Gender Basketball league, but according to a new interview, he may be switching playing fields. The businessman recently caught up with TMZ, when he suggested that he would be interested in starting a football league with Colin Kaepernick where players can freely choose to kneel or stand.

Since Kaepernick elected to kneel during the national anthem a little over a year ago, he has been out of a job. While some feel that it was his bold move that got him into this predicament, Master P suggests it’s the lack of Black ownership that ultimately led to Kaepernick’s demise. “I think we have to start owning things… Without ownership, you don’t have control, no matter how much money you make. You never,” he stated. “You never gon win if you don’t own nothing.”

He also stated that with ownership comes freedom of speech and expression. “You should be able to say I want to kneel or I want to stand, but you don’t have that without ownership,” he said, adding that he would like to get in partnership with Kaepernick. "I'll help him start his own league. I think he should. I mean, he's a great football player. I think the NFL should have some competition,” he continued.

Kapernick has reportedly filed a collusion lawsuit against the NFL, claiming the league “black-balled” him after he decided to kneel during the anthem.

We’ll have to see if Kaepernick will take the bait and jump on board.
