Report: Kanye West Suffers Health Scare in Australia

Rapper was rushed to hospital hours before performing at a concert.

Kanye West was reportedly taken to Epworth Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, just hours before he was set to take the stage for a concert. According to Woman's Day Australia, the 37-year-old Yeezus rapper was wheeled into the hospital on a stretcher at about 2 p.m. local time Wednesday afternoon. A witness said he was taken directly to an MRI machine and his security cleared the area along the way to maintain his privacy. His wife, Kim Kardashian, was not with him at the time.

The witness, Loraine Terry, whose daughter was having an MRI at the same time and couldn't be moved, said that doctors were worried that he had either had a recent seizure, or was about to have one. “Everyone was massively panicked. And they were very nervous about making sure the area was completely clear," she said. But an anonymous source in West's camp told Radar Online that “he did go to the hospital because he had a headache. He was treated for a migraine and he’s totally fine.”

Whatever the cause of his emergency hospital visit, West was released at 4:30 p.m. the same day and went on to shine at his concert as planned at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. He is scheduled to perform three more shows in Australia.
