Obviously, we still cannot get over Beyoncé’s iconic cover of the September issue of Vogue. Not only did she hire the first Black photographer to ever shoot for Vogue, but she also decided to rock her natural hair.
Fans were still a little skeptical about her and her hair stylist claiming that she was actually sporting her natural curls. Now, we finally have video evidence to confirm his sentiments.
In this behind-the-scenes look at Bey's Vogue shoot, hair stylists Neal Farinah and Nakia Rachon are seen braiding Beyoncé’s long, curly mane, with the assistance of Queen Bey herself. Now that we’ve seen these stylists in action, there’s no doubt that Beyoncé’s hair is really this long.
In her open letter in Vogue, Beyoncé had a clear reason for shedding the wigs and excess makeup that we typically see her rocking for shows or other magazine shoots.
“I think it’s important for women and men to see and appreciate the beauty in their natural bodies. That’s why I stripped away the wigs and hair extensions and used little makeup for this shoot.”
ICYMI: Beyoncé’s natural hair has been a continuous debate ever since Ms. Tina Lawson posted about her daughter having inches. Then her stylist Neal continued to boast about styling Beyoncé’s natural hair time and time again. The internet was genuinely confused.
There was no doubt in our minds that Beyoncé was truly slaying her natural curls. Check out the rest of the behind-the-scenes footage including her three children, Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir, from the shoot below:
