BET Awards 2021 Rewind: Best Dressed Winners On The Red Carpet
The BET Awards 2021—held Sunday, June 27—went without a hitch. Hosted by Taraji P. Henson, this year’s ceremony was the longest show yet—boasting a whopping 3.5 hour runtime, plus a special after party with DJ Cassidy’s Pass The Mic: BET Awards Edition.
Of course, we were on the edges of our seats to see who went home with coveted BET Awards, but wew were even excited to see who was the best dressed.
Below, see some of the best dressed winners who walked the red carpet before snagging some big titles on the culture’s biggest night. And trust us, these looks are just as worthy of a trophy!
JAZMINE SULLIVAN: BEST DRESSED IN GUCCI
“Album Of The Year” award winner, Jazmine Sullivan stunned on the red carpet in a timeless pink evening gown. The floor-length dress, designed by Gucci, was noticeably sheer as it gracefully danced in the wind and caught the attention of all onlookers.
H.E.R: BEST DRESSED IN ARMANI
“Best Female R&B / Pop Artist” award winner, H.E.R. was full of confidence when she struck a few poses for the paparazzi. Rocking her signature shades, the talented singer made quite a statement in her velvet blazer and sheer pants designed by Giorgio Armani. Don’t even get us started about her hip-length hair that landed her on our best long hair list!
LIL BABY: BEST DRESSED IN STREETWEAR
“Best Male Hip Hop Artist” award winner, Lil Baby flexed on the red carpet with casual style. Opting for streetwear style, the recording artist stunted in a fresh white tee, Casablanca bomber jacket, and a pair of statement jeans. We think that his bright yellow Nike sneakers and layers of diamond bling took the look to the next level.
MEGAN THEE STALLION: BEST DRESSED IN GAULTIER
“Best Female Hip Hop Artist” award winner, Megan Thee Stallion wowed us with her body-ody-ody on the red carpet. The rapper caused a social media frenzy when she modeled her custom Jean Paul Gaultier gown, featuring flirty diamond embellishments and super high slits on both sides.
GIVEON: BEST DRESSED IN CHANEL
“Best New Artist” award winner, Giveon looked smart and sophisticated in a fashion-forward frock by Chanel. To complete his simplistic look, the singer opted for a pair of black dress shoes that shined on the red carpet.
KIRK FRANKLIN: BEST DRESSED IN RICHFRESH
“Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award” winner, Kirk Franklin flashed a smirk on the BET Awards red carpet. Why? Well, why not. Our guess is because the gospel singer knew his admirers would be impressed with his fly pink suit, designed by celebrity tailor Richfresh. We certainly were!
BURNA BOY: BEST DRESSED ASYMETRICAL SUIT
“Best International Act” award winner, Burna Boy kept things fresh on the red carpet. Styled in a crisp ivory suit, the Nigerian artist caused quite a stir with his asymmetric suiit and shiny black boots. Of course, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention his layers of diamond chains that nearly blinded us!
