Russia includes Morgan Freeman, Oprah, And Other American Public Figures To Their Ban List

The ban conveniently doesn’t include Donald Trump.

How do you ban Oprah Winfrey?

According to The Washington Post, Russia has permanently banned close to 1,000 Americans from entering their country in response to the United States’ support of Ukraine and the historic sanctions facing Moscow nearly three months into its invasion.

In the context of responding to the constantly imposed anti-Russian sanctions by the United States and in connection with incoming requests about the personal composition of our national “stop list,” the Russian Foreign Ministry publishes a list of American citizens who are permanently banned from entering the Russian Federation,” said the Kremlin in a statement.

“Russia does not seek confrontation and is open to honest, mutually respectful dialogue, separating the American people, who are always respected by us, from the US authorities, who incite Russophobia, and those who serve them. It is these people who are included in the Russian ‘black list,’”

The list includes Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Oprah Winfrey, Hilary Clinton, Corey Booker, and even actor Morgan Freeman.

While Russia is trying to keep Americans out of their country, they still have one American captive as WNBA player Brittney Griner has her pre-detention trial extended by one month at a hearing on May 13 at a courtroom near Moscow, BET.com reported.

Her lawyer Alexander Boikov told the AP that the short extension indicates that the case will soon come to trial. She has been in detention for nearly three months.
