These Celebrities Welcomed A New Bundle Of Joy In 2023

Ciara and Russell Wilson are among the many couples to have a child this year.

This year has had unforgettable moments from all corners of the entertainment industry, including teary splits, relationship make-ups, and birth announcements. Rihanna and A$AP RockySerena Williams and Alexis Ohanian, and John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen all had adorable babies this year. 

While their parents' days may be shorter and their nights longer, these stars all acknowledge that their little ones are the best gift ever.

Here is a rundown of our favorite moms and dads who expanded their families in 2023.

  • Ciara and Russell Wilson

    A day after hitting the red carpet for the premiere of "The Color Purple," in which she stars, Ciara gave birth to a daughter she shares with husband Russell Wilson. This is CiCi's fourth child and her third with the NFL player.

    She revealed the infant's name, height, and weight measurements in a post on Instagram. "Amora Princess Wilson," while adding "9 lbs 1oz. We Love You so much!" read the caption of the post.

    Rihanna's umbrella has a new member under it. In August, she welcomed her second baby boy with boyfriend A$AP Rocky. Little Riot Rose Mayers is joined by his big brother, RZA who was born in 2022.

  • John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

    What's better than two little ones? If you ask John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, they will say, 'Four!' This year, their family grew by two new members.

    In January, the parents welcomed a baby girl named Esti, and then five months later, they announced the arrival of their fourth child, a son named Wren Alexander Stephens, who was born via surrogacy.

    The doting parents also share Luna Simone, 7, and son Miles Theodore, 5.

    In December, the "Orange Is the New Black" alum revealed to her social media community that she and husband Robert Sweeting welcomed their first child together: a precious baby girl named Adaiba Lee Nonyem.

    "My daughter. I’ve never been in love so quickly, so deeply in my entire life. I really don’t know what to say, guys. My heart is full. Thank you, God. I have joy like a fountain," she wrote in the caption of the post on Instagram.

    In July, tennis phenom Naomi Osaka welcomed her first child, a daughter with rapper Cordae. A source told  PEOPLE that mommy and baby were “doing well.” The new mom shared news of her pregnancy in January with a sonogram photo.

    In September, Chanel Iman and her fiancé Davon Godchaux expanded their family with the arrival of a baby girl. The proud parents shared a joint post on Instagram highlighting their infant's birth.

    "Capri Summer Godchaux 🎀,” read the announcement in the caption of the post, followed by the infant’s date of birth of September 19, 2023.

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mariah Riddlesprigger

    In September, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and his fiancé Mariah Riddlesprigger welcomed their third child—a daughter named Eva Brooke. She joins big brothers Liam, 3, and Maverick, 2.

    Antetokounmpo and Riddlesprigger shared the joyous news in an Instagram post, placing a heart emoji over the newborn's face.

    Keke Palmer became a first-time "Mutha" in February after giving birth to a son named Leodis Andrellton Jackson, whom she shares with Darius Jackson. She announced baby Leo's birth on Instagram, saying in part, "Born during Black History Month, with a name to match."

    A day before Father's Day, MLB player Francisco Lindor welcomed his second daughter with his wife, Katia Reguero Lindor. This girl dad commemorated the newborn's life by getting her name, Amapola Chloe, tattooed on his left arm, as reported by MLB.

    In April, Keshia Knight Pulliam and her husband, Brad James, welcomed a baby boy on her Birthday, as reported by Essence. The actress shared the exciting news on Instagram.

    “With this little one we are complete… Happy Birthday to me!!! What an eventful birthday week… 😆," the post read in part.
